An ESRI ArcGIS Explorer crystal bowl gazing roundup:
- A new version will be out in July, says ESRI. James Fee assumes this will mean better KML support and better performance.
- Sebastian Good provides a tantalizing (to me) hint that ESRI ArcGIS Explorer, may, one day, run natively on Mac OS X.
Good to see ESRI recognizes there are upsides to going multiplatform. Even in the business world, many graphics, advertising and news departments run Macs; they'll choose the virtual globe that runs best for them, and that virtual globe gets all the PR perks.

Here'd be a cool KML layer, as reported by Amateur Photographer:

HoudahGPS is a new freeware Mac OS X tool for downloading GPX data from your GPS device. One output option is KML.
