Airport reading: First look at SkylineGlobe; Microsoft defection

  • Directions magazine has a first look at the upcoming SkylineGlobe, an in-browser 3D virtual globe.

  • Microsoft platform evangelist Vic Gundotra jumps ship to Google, reports Business 2.0. Of interest:
    Gundotra had been leading an effort to persuade developers to build software on top of Microsoft's MSN and Windows Live online services instead of Google's platform.
